Food Shuttle's Spring Match Challenge Grows to $55,000

Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is excited to announce that our Spring Match Challenge has grown! Thanks to generous funding from Citrix and Mead Family Foundation, all gifts will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $55,000, now through May 31, 2022. This means your support can go twice as far to feed our neighbors, teach self-sufficiency, grow healthy foods, and cultivate innovation solutions to end hunger in our community.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to ending hunger. That’s why the Food Shuttle creates unique solutions to fit the unique needs of families, children, and seniors facing hunger throughout central North Carolina. Our multi-dimensional programming serves immediate needs while also providing long-term solutions that address the root causes of hunger and poverty. Together with our community of supporters, the Food Shuttle is strengthening families by teaching new ways to grow and cook healthy foods, educating about nutrition, and providing invaluable assistance to move toward long-term self-sufficiency.

Our initial Spring Match Challenge of $40,000, funded by the Mead Family Foundation, was increased by $15,000, thanks to our partners at Citrix.

“It is an inspiration to see the compassion from volunteers and collaboration with our neighbors driving a positive impact on the lives of people in Central North Carolina,” said Kurt Huesner, Senior Vice President of Global Emerging Sales at Citrix and member and incoming Board Chair of the Food Shuttle’s Board of Directors. “On behalf of the Food Shuttle’s Board of Directors and our team at Citrix, I extend a huge thank you to all who participated or are going to participate (not too late) in this spring’s matching challenge.”

Don’t miss this great opportunity to have double the impact with your support. Visit www.FoodShuttle.org/Match before May 31 and be a part of the Food Shuttle’s Spring Match Challenge.
