Thanks to generous funding from 4 Others Foundation and Oak Foundation, the Food Shuttle is offering a Holiday Match Opportunity during our You Are the Heart of Our Community campaign. Now through December 31, all gifts will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $100.000.
This match challenge could not come at a better time. More and more families are turning to the Food Shuttle’s partner agencies for help amid rising food, housing, and utility costs. During the month of November, we served a total of 93,199 of our neighbors through soup kitchens, food pantries, mobile markets, and direct distributions. That’s a 21 % increase over this time last year. And that number only promises to keep climbing. In total, the Food Shuttle distributed over nine million pounds of food through our seven-county service area during the last fiscal year.
