Following a five-month national search, the Board of Directors has named Ron Pringle the President and CEO of Inter-Faith Food Shuttle effective June 1, 2020. With nearly 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and extensive background in the Feeding America network, the Board of Directors is excited by the possibilities that his direction will bring to the Food Shuttle.
"On behalf of the entire board of directors, I am excited to welcome Ron to the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle,” said Bob Alger, Board Chair. “I am confident that his experience and energy will push the Food Shuttle to new heights as we feed, teach, and grow to serve more people than ever before."
Bob continued, "Bethann James served as a remarkable Interim CEO. The Food Shuttle was lucky to have her guide us through this transition and the crisis of COVID-19. She will forever be part of the Food Shuttle family."
Ron has worked in food banking in both South and North Carolina, including leading the Second Harvest Food Bank through the aftermath of two devastating hurricanes. Prior to this, he worked for 12 years for the Lowcountry Food Bank in progressively responsible positions including Director of Operations. With Ron’s experience, he is well prepared to guide Inter-Faith Food Shuttle through its current challenges and beyond.
