Introduction to Herbal Teas: Medicinal Herb Walk in the Garden

  • Geer Street Learning Garden 110 East Geer Street Durham, NC, 27701 United States (map)

Herbal teas are an easy, soothing and often tasty way to get the benefits of medicinal herbs! In this class, we’ll break down the basics of herbal tea making, including simple ways to dry and store herbs, the difference between an infusion and a decoction, and how to make different kinds of herbal teas! We’ll take a tour of some of the medicinal herbs in the garden, learning which to use for stress, sleep, digestion, and colds and flus. Participants will get to take home a bundle of herbs to dry of their choosing, for their own tea collection. A wonderful beginner workshop for those interested in herbalism!
