The Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is launching its new catering company, Horizon Catering, on Thursday, October 4th at 5 PM with a Happy Hour tasting. Horizon Catering uses fresh ingredients purchased from local farmers, often sourced from the Food Shuttle Farm. The Food Shuttle’s Culinary Apprenticeship Program will assist with production of catering orders. Kim Greehy was at the point of her life where she was responsible for finding a job, a place to live and paying her own bills. She had gone to school but didn’t really know what she wanted to do. To add to that difficult time in anyone’s life, Kim was aging out of Foster Care without the support system she needed.
How can we even begin to say “thank you” to the people who do so much? ach April during National Volunteer Week, we are grateful to take time to recognize the amazing power of our volunteer force. This year, we tried to really do it up right, with activities throughout the week, including Open Houses at all of the Ag locations, breakfast & lunch provided by Catering With a Cause, and a host of volunteer awards!
