Food Drive Friends: * Church of the Nativity Volunteer Volunteer at the Food Shuttle. Click HERE and you can send us an email to show us what and when you are intrested in volunteering at the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. We will then contact you to set up a time for you to take a tour an receive more information about what we do. Why is it that we do what we do? How have we managed to grow and change through the years? What has driven the Food Shuttle to develop new, innovative systems to recover, prepare and distribute wholesome, perishable food for the area's poor, hungry, undernourished and homeless? It is more than just a common-sense reaction against extravagant waste. It is more than a simple humanitarian desire to help others. In a word, it is because each of us believes in our hearts that hunger is unac-ceptable. It is unacceptable in our nation, the wealthiest in the world. It is unacceptable in our state. It is unacceptable in our neighborhoods. We know that you feel the same way. The generosity and support of the community has allowed us to continue our efforts through the years. Thank you for believing, as we do, that we can drive hunger from the Triangle. Volunteering Drive a Route...Volunteer drivers and assistants follow an established route, recovering food from donor sites and delivering it to designated recipient agencies.
