ABOUT THE INTER-FAITH FOOD SHUTTLE

The Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is the innovative leader in pioneering solutions to address the problems of hunger and food insecurity in the Greater Triangle.  We are neighbors helping neighbors.  We believe good food does not belong in the landfill.  We recover food and shuttle resources to feed the need.  And the need is big! 98,000 children receive free or reduced school lunches in the Greater Triangle. Just this year, we have experienced a 50% increase in the demand for food. Our programs such as Backpack BuddiesCommunity Gardens and Farms, free mobile farmers markets, and grocery bags for seniors and low-income families provide healthy nutritious food for communities in need. Our Operation Frontlineclasses, Culinary Job Training Program and Young Farmers Trianing Program empower communities and individuals to become self-sufficient and take control of their food choices.

HOW TO BUY DUCKS

You can purchase one duck or as many as you want. On the day of the event the ducks will be simultaneously released to race swiftly down the Ol' Bull River.

There will be prizes at both the individual and corporate level.  You don't have to be present to win. Prizes will be awarded for 1st through 3rd place.  There's also a prize for the "Best Decorated Duck".  The biggest winners are the people and communities these charities support.
