In North Carolina, over 9% of older adults are at risk of hunger, ranking the state 7th in the U.S. for food insecurity among adults 50 and older. AARP and AARP Foundation, in collaboration with the charitable organization Outreach, Inc., are bringing together thousands of volunteers over the course of two days with a goal to package one million nutritious meals through Drive to End Hunger.
